2nd graders at ZNES participate in the Learn, Grow, Eat, and GO! curriculum. Students engage in a vegetable tasting sampler activity and must use their five senses to respond in their student journals by giving a letter grade based on their sensory experience. Sammy Luera, from Texas A&M University, took the lead in demonstrating a recipe called "Carrot Cinnamon Crunch" for the students to taste vegetables mixed with other tasty ingredients to enjoy.
